Conclusion
(out of 5 stars)
The Sanyo Xacti J4 is a great point and shoot digital camera with a number of additional features that definitely make it worth more than a second look. The fundamental aspects of any digicam are all there - great image quality, above average ease of use and handling, quality construction and stylish looks. On top of those qualities, the Sanyo Xacti J4 adds one of the best movie modes that I've yet seen on a digital camera, responsiveness that borders on fast, and some great playback and review features. I'd love to see all of this in a model that also offers the photographer full creative control over shutter speeds and apertures - are you listening Sanyo? - but until then the Sanyo Xacti J4 will more than satisfy the less demanding user who is willing to let the camera take control.
