Introduction
The Olympus µ[mju:] 400 Digital camera is the first ever product that I've reviewed on PhotographyBLOG that I haven't actually purchased for myself. Instead this is a review unit sent to me by Olympus. Therefore I don't have any vested interest in the camera, I haven't spent weeks researching whether the camera is right for me, and most importantly I haven't spent my hard-earned cash on it. I've also only had the camera for a 2 week loan period, so this should not be considered to be a long-term review by any means.
Nevertheless, these are the kind of conditions that most cameras and equipment are reviewed under, so was I impressed by the Olympus µ[mju:] 400 Digital? Read on to find out.
Price
The Olympus µ[mju:] 400 Digital has a recommended retail price of £379.99, but it's currently available for £289.99 from Amazon.co.uk. That was one of the cheapest prices that I could find after a quick search on Google and is very good value for money for a 4-megapixel digital camera.
